Responsible Gaming

The honest shape of this page: we do not carry self-service limit tools, and saying so is more use to you than a list of controls that are not there.

Taking a break

Write to support@lizaro.com and say what you want: an account closed, or a break of a stated length. We act on it as soon as we practically can.

Two things follow from a break being handled by hand rather than by a switch. It is not instant, so ask before the moment you need it rather than in it. And it covers this account only — making sure no further accounts are opened elsewhere is your responsibility, and we cannot be held responsible for losses incurred on accounts we do not run.

Closing the account

Closure goes to the same address. An account can only be closed with no remaining balance and no pending withdrawal — withdraw first, wait for it to land, then ask. Closing an account that still holds money or an open request voids those funds, which is the one rule on this page worth reading twice.

Thirteen questions worth answering honestly

The self-assessment on the site asks whether gambling has cost you time at work or study, whether you have chased losses, whether you have borrowed to play or hidden it from people close to you, whether it has caused arguments, whether you have felt remorse afterwards, and whether it has ever crossed your mind to fund it in a way you would not normally consider.

There is no scoring band and no result screen. More than a couple of uncomfortable answers is the signal, and it is one worth acting on the same week rather than the next month.

Where to go outside this site

  • GamCare — support, information and a helpline
  • Gamblers Anonymous — gamblersanonymous.org
  • Gambling Therapy — gamblingtherapy.org
  • Net Nanny — parental filtering software, for keeping the site off a shared or family device

Age

Anyone under 18 registering here is doing something both prohibited and illegal. We take responsibility for verifying the age of every customer, and any winnings gained by an underage player are cancelled. If a young person uses a device you own, a filter of the kind listed above does the job a login screen cannot.

Signs worth watching for

Playing longer than intended, more often than planned, or for stakes that have quietly climbed. Going back to win money back. Playing to change a mood rather than to enjoy an hour. Money for gambling coming out of a budget that had another job. Any of these on their own means little; two or three together are worth a break.
